Are there any other running costs?
Like owning a car or a home, there are running costs including water and sewage, electricity, gas and insurance. These vary by park.
Do I own the land?
No, you don't you are buying a caravan holiday home with the right to occupy a pitch of your choice for as long as you like, providing you pay the annual site fees and abide by the park rules.
Can my friends and family visit me?
Yes - of course. As an owner you will receive 10 Owners Exclusive Privilege Plus Cards which entitle you, friends and family to use all the facilities on the park. Extra passes can also be purchased at the owners enquiry reception.
Can I choose the location of my caravan holiday home?
Yes, you will have a choice of those pitch locations which are available to you at that particular time.
Do I have to change my caravan holiday home every five or ten years?
No, not at all. Unlike many other operators, with Bourne Leisure, owners can enjoy their caravan for as long as they like. The only thing we ask is that owners keep to the park rules and pay their annual site fees.
How many months of the year can I enjoy my caravan holiday home?
In general this is from March to November, but it can be slightly longer at some parks. Please note: parks cannot be used as a permanent residence.
How much money would I get for my caravan holiday home if I sold it after a year?
If you were seriously thinking of owning a caravan holiday home for just one year, we would advise you not to go ahead as caravans are just like cars - they do depreciate and the first year is the worst. After that, it really depends on how well you look after your caravan and the state of the economy.
Do your parks allow pets?
We welcome well trained dogs but reserve the right to refuse certain breeds. Please ensure your dog wears a collar and identity tag and is on a lead and under control by a responsible adult at all times. No animals, other than dogs, may occupy caravans without written permission of the park manager. Dogs are not allowed on certain areas of some parks - please contact us for more details.
Do all your parks have disabled access?
We aim to make our facilities available and accessible for all. We sell adapted caravan holiday homes, suitable for wheelchair users, at all our parks. Is buying a caravan holiday home a good investment?
Buying a caravan with Bourne Leisure is really a lifestyle choice. By subletting you can spread the cost of ownership. However, owning a caravan holiday home should not be viewed as an investment for the purpose of yielding an income.
Do I need a deposit?
Yes, either a minimum of £3,000 cash or 25% of the value of the caravan Holiday Home, whichever is greater.
What is the Accommodation Service Promise?
To offer our Owners further peace of mind, we guarantee that our Park team will carry out a multi point checklist to ensure your Holiday Home is cleaned and checked prior to your arrival. In the event of dissatisfaction and / or non-resolution of any issue, Owners will receive a £50 account credit.
Is Finance available?
Yes we offer guaranteed finance acceptance together with a range of finance options. Low rate finance packages are available including 0% finance subject to deposit criteria, written quotations available on request. These are obviously subject to status.
What do site fees cover?
Site fees cover the security on the park, park maintenance, landscaping, refuse collection, grass cutting, use of the park’s great facilities and activities and annual reinvestment. Not forgetting the top service from your Owners Exclusive and Aftersales Team as well as enjoying all the Owners Exclusive events.
